Foggy Substance Removed From Painting

Our client brought this painting to us. She contacted us and told us that her daughter was going to pick up the restored painting. We are looking forward to hearing her reactions when she sees the restored painting.

This is a painting by a well known southern artist.

Our client acquired it and took it out of state. They lived in a wooded area and the painting deteriorated. They sent it to the artist. The artist worked on it and the painting seemed okay.

The client moved to Texas and the painting deteriorated again.

After we received the painting, we began analyzing the foggy substance and started removing it inch by inch.

We left the painting untouched for a while to make sure the foggy substance did not return.

It did not return, so we continued to remove the rest of the foggy substance from the painting.

Then we secured the top layer of the paint because the foggy substance had caused tiny crazing.
