Clean Family Inherited Heirloom Artwork Paintings Houston

Rhonda brought Life on the Wall two paintings which were painted by her mother in the middle of the last century. Her mother worked with oil paint and she liked to paint in with impasto. The process or technique of laying on paint or pigment thickly so that it stands out from a surface; paint applied thickly.

One painting developed cracks in the paint layer. The varnish had become brownish.

Overall the painting was not attractive.

The painting was painted professionally with great detail.

We began removing smoke and grime from the surface and the painting began to look better. Then we removed the aged varnish.

The painting began to have the original look.

After that, the painting obtained its original look and its appeal.

To stabilize the cracked paint layer, we relined the artwork. Prior to that, a light touch would produce a cracking noise. After the relining, the painting paint/canvas was stable and would be for approximately a century.

If you have the same condition with your fine art oil paintings, we will restore and conserve your paintings to be in good condition for the next 100 years.
