Oil Painting Restoration Cost

Oil Painting Restoration Cost. Houston

The first word you need to consider on the subject of oil painting restoration cost is “RISK.”  Of course, you can always find a cheaper restorer, but you must ask yourself why they do not charge more for their service.

If they are new and working out of their home with no presence in an antique mall or antique market you should have a concern. Yes, their prices are cheap but why do they not have any kind of public presence.

It is not unusual for restorers to have a workshop at an undisclosed location, but that is to the advantage of art collector, gallery and museum clients who are having costly paintings restored.

If your restorer does not have a public place to meet you other than a coffee shop or “your home or office,” be very skeptical.

Not only is fine art oil painting restoration a skill, it is a very tedious one.  No professional restorer is going rush to get your painting back to you. They will not compromise a standard of excellence. That standard is time and time is money.

Because of the drying time for some of the solutions, paint, varnish, etc used in restoration, a restorer has a limit of how many paintings that he can restore at one time. This being taken into consideration, he still has his bills to pay for two leases,  materials, equipment, tools and other expenses that any business would have.

We give excellent service to our clients for a fair price.  We are not the highest or lowest price in the market, but we have an impeccable reputation.

You can expect that our work will be precisely done and not done in a hurry.

Our work is a very tedious, skilled work which must be precise and your paintings will receive the attention they deserve, based on their unique restoration needs.
