The before images here are images of a painting that had been in an extreme moisture environment. As you can see there is extensive flaking. It was caused by the presence of moisture and water damage. The painting came in just in time so that we were able to save it before it was totally ruined. We secured the paint layer, stabilized the old canvas, did a plethora of touchups and applied varnish.
